Ukrainian startups around the world: Where they’ve been and what they’ve showcased from September to November 2024
This autumn, Ukrainian startups actively participated in international conferences, and the results are impressive. From new partnerships to investment opportunities, these events became a powerful platform for showcasing innovative achievements and exploring new paths for growth on the global stage.
Ukrainian startups proudly represented the country at the Nordeep Summit 2024 in Finland. Nordeep Deep Tech Business Summit is the first European conference focused on deep-tech, attracting over 1,500 participants annually who are passionate about this field. Teams from StackBooster, ECOFACTOR, Lifestyle Camper Group, and UA Green held over 50 meetings with potential partners, including Baltic Sandbox, Nordic Development Fund, and the NATO DIANA Project. By visiting Aalto University, the delegation gained valuable insights into the Finnish innovation ecosystem and established connections with key players.
At the Luxembourg Venture Days 2024, Ukrainian startups achieved significant results. Luxembourg Venture Days 2024 is an annual event connecting investors, startups, and scaleup companies to foster partnerships and innovation. Biobetter made it to the top 15 projects in the healthtech vertical at the Fit4Start programme, having been selected from over 420 applications for the pitching session. V-Art and ClinCaseQuest participated in the FEL – Female Entrepreneurship & Leadership Program, where they received feedback from investors. Additionally, Costless AI, Salesdep.ai, and V-Art took part in the parallel Reverse Pitch event, while Aspichi, Cardiomo, and ClinCaseQuest had individual consultations with Luxinnovation’s HealthTech experts.
The Valencia Digital Summit 2024 served as a dynamic platform for Ukrainian startups, gathering more than 12,000 participants from over 100 countries to showcase cutting-edge digital technologies. Reservble, FluxHR, SoftBees, Salesdep.AI, Solar Gaps, Gart Tech, and Mariya.AI presented their innovations, held productive meetings with Plug and Play Tech Center, met with key organisations in the region such as Invest in Valencia and Startup Valencia, and significantly expanded their network of contacts in Europe, the USA, and other countries.
Web Summit 2024, one of the largest global tech events, brought together over 70,000 participants, including industry leaders, investors, and innovators from around the world. 24 Ukrainian startups showcased their achievements, including Beholder, Bliss Brain, Cardiomo, Cartum, EDMAPS, Karpatia, Flyagdata, Swapp, The Great Catalog, Hearify, Generect, Streamline, SplineCloud, VanOnGo, tTravel, NewsCatcher, Qudi, JustSpeak AI, Pricer24, Metaenga, Verba, Mariya AI, Medvoice, and Misto. Bliss Brain stood out, making it to the TOP 10 finalists out of 2,000 startups and presenting on the main stage. The summit also saw the official launch of CodeUA – a marketplace for Ukrainian IT companies aimed at attracting foreign businesses to collaborate with our developers. Participation in the summit allowed startups to secure over 2,000 new clients and explore prospects for entering markets in the USA, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and Europe.
The Sustainable Entrepreneurship Day at the EWB Summit & Award 2024 in Sweden, dedicated to supporting women-led social enterprises, was a milestone event for Ukrainian startups collaborating with the Seeds of Bravery programme. Held at Microsoft’s office, the event brought together over 100 participants, including corporate representatives, business trainers, and investors actively seeking innovative projects. Ukrainian startups iplayART, GeodesicLife, VitalisLacto, and Anima showcased their achievements in sustainability and innovation, with a special focus on women-led initiatives. The event provided an excellent opportunity for productive meetings, expanding networks, and strengthening the global presence of Ukrainian innovations.
Participation on the international stage is not just a step toward new opportunities but also a testament to Ukraine’s strong position as a leader in the world of innovation. Our startups demonstrate that Ukrainian ideas have global potential and can transform markets, influence technological trends, and set new standards across various industries. Conquering new heights on the global stage is just the beginning, and each new success further solidifies Ukraine’s role as an important player on the global tech map.
