Seeds of Bravery is a €20 million project funded by the European Union under the European Innovation Council (EIC) to support Ukrainian tech startups bringing them closer to the EU.

Our mission is to foster diversity, promote the deep tech industry and stimulate hundreds of UA-based innovations benefiting end-users in Europe, Ukraine and beyond, connecting corporates and governments to the benefit of SMEs and individual customers.

Who we are?

Seeds of Bravery (UASEEDs) is powered by a network of 17 partners and 2 associated partners, integrating Ukrainian tech innovators in European markets. We aim to strengthen Ukraine's tech landscape, supporting local entrepreneurs for global success.

How do we support? Our Programs

Seeds of Bravery will allocate €12 million in non-refundable grants. We will accept applications  to the following five different programs that could lead up to €60,000 in total grant:

Who can apply?

We are looking for Ukrainian innovative tech companies, (startups and scale ups) developing innovative solutions services or products.

Companies must:
  • be registered in Ukraine or be relocated from Ukraine to one of the Member States of the European Union and its Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) or Horizon Europe Associated Countries after 24.02.2022
  • be registered in one of the Member States of the European Union and its Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) or Horizon Europe Associated Countries after 24.02.2022
  • have at least one founder or co-founder working full time for the company
  • have at least one founder or co-founder, or top manager (CEO, CTO, COO or equivalent key position) holding Ukrainian citizenship
To qualify for funding, projects must solely focus on civil applications, without any intent for military use or serving military purposes.
To be eligible, ensure that your project has a European dimension, showing the capacity to increase the footprint of Ukrainian startups in the European Innovation Ecosystem and their future participation in EIC calls.

How to Apply?

The application process consists of two steps:

Step 1

Sign up as a User at FundingBox OnePass Platform and complete the short application  form for Seeds of Bravery (UASEEDs).

We will check your admissibility automatically (this step should prevent you from completing a long full proposal).This step is unique, and you will have to complete it just once per company for all UASEEDs support programs.

Step 2

Full Proposal Submission

If your short application is admissible, you will receive an invitation link to access the USF management system and submit your full and complete proposal.

After completing these two steps, your full proposal will be considered for evaluation.
