Ukrainian Innovations on the Global Stage: The Seeds of Bravery Delegation at Web Summit 2025 in Lisbon

Web Summit in Lisbon is one of the world’s largest technology conferences, annually bringing together thousands of startups, investors, international corporations, and government representatives. It is a place where global trends are shaped, innovative ideas are born, and partnerships are forged that define the future directions of the world’s technology ecosystem.
In 2025, Ukraine’s presence at Web Summit was particularly notable thanks to the Seeds of Bravery delegation, which brought together 15 promising startups at their dedicated booth.
The delegation included 15 innovative Ukrainian startups operating in artificial intelligence, deep tech, cybersecurity, health tech, and other fields:
Allpass.ai – a solution for automating KYC and AML processes for regulated companies.
FortuneGuard – an AI platform for insuring military risks for valuable assets.
Glendeal – a B2B agromarketplace for trading crops, feed, and related services.
Intelswift – an omnichannel platform with voice, chat, email, and role-based AI agents for customer support.
Mindship – an app offering personalized breathing practices for emotional and physical balance.
Nasnaga – an AI service improving health through lab tests, personalized nutrition, and coaching.
Obriy AI – multi-agent AI systems for enterprise-level companies.
LifeStyleCamper – manufacturer of mobile campers for tourism and outdoor recreation.
LifesaverSIM – a mobile simulator and training platform for medical and tactical assistance.
SoilyWorld – an automated system notifying farmers of pathogen risks and providing biological recommendations for farm development.
SYLA – an autonomous knee prosthesis for people with amputations.
TrackAI – an AI application for calorie tracking.
Vulnerbify – cybersecurity software that monitors and reports vulnerabilities in real time.
Pickpad – a smart station for order fulfillment in restaurants and retail.
StackBob.ai – a cybersecurity solution using AI agents to manage access, passwords, and licenses.
Over the three days of the conference, Ukrainian startups showcased their solutions to an international audience, conducted live demonstrations, and met with government officials and investors from various countries. Each delegation team also had its own single-day booth in the startup zone, ensuring direct communication with potential partners, corporations, and investment funds.
The Ukrainian delegation to Lisbon was organized by the Ukrainian Startup Fund in partnership with Plug and Play Tech Center, under the Seeds of Bravery consortium and with support from the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. In Lisbon, startups were supported by Yana Hulak, Anastasiia Kravchenko-Uhrekhelidze (USF), Carolina Ferreira da Silva (Plug and Play Tech Center), Inna Perepelytsya (Luxinnovation GIE), and Margaryta Chernyshova (YEP Accelerator), providing mentorship, networking support, access to events and investor meetings, and enhanced international visibility.
The participation of Ukrainian startups proved highly successful: SYLA entered the top 10 among over 2,700 teams worldwide, marking great results of our delegation at Web Summit.
Olha Sinyakevych, COO of SYLA, shares: “If I’m not mistaken, a total of 105 startups pitched on the first day to qualify for the semifinals… and suddenly they announced that SYLA was one of the 10 semifinalists. It was shocking. Such visibility is very important for us now. The professionalism of the PITCH Competition team significantly eased the performance experience. Stress turned into curiosity thanks to the friendly supportive atmosphere among the organizers and the rest of the participants. Performing on a stage of this scale is an expansion. On a big stage, you feel more responsible, you want to convey your vision and energize people. You feel immense gratitude for having such an experience and opportunity. Among the unexpected insights, I realized that the size of the hall doesn’t really matter: it’s important to catch the feeling that everyone in the hall is on your side. The main thing is to confidently say the first three phrases – then the whole performance will be successful”.
Yaroslav Dzyoma, CEO and co-founder of Metatable.ai, notes: “Web Summit 2025 was very productive! We are currently going through the Seeds of Bravery program, thanks to which we changed the positioning of the product. We held many meetings and agreed on 3 pilots. We are launching on Product Hunt next week!”
The success of the Seeds of Bravery delegation demonstrates that Ukrainian innovations can compete with the world’s leading technological solutions. The project not only helps startups enter global markets but also strengthens Ukraine’s international visibility as a country of highly skilled engineers, entrepreneurs, and deep-tech solutions.
