Explore new European markets: results of Market Discovery workshops Finland, Sweden, Benelux

Within the framework of the Seeds of Bravery project, Market Discovery Workshops focused on exploring market opportunities in Finland, Sweden, and the Benelux countries were successfully held. These events brought together leading experts and representatives of startup ecosystems, providing participants with unique knowledge and insights for the successful development of their businesses in these regions.

Finland

Market Discovery Workshop in Finland has become a key event for entrepreneurs interested in developing deep tech startups. The event brought together leading representatives of the Finnish startup ecosystem to share their experience and present solutions to support startups. The topics discussed included funding programmes and services provided by Business Finland, the role of universities and research institutions in supporting innovation, and the country’s investment landscape. One of the success cases was Blue Force, a startup that demonstrates the opportunities for high-tech businesses in Finland. The event was attended by renowned experts such as Henrik Keinonen, Niko Downie, Miska Hakala, Peter Vesterbacka, Jaana Rantanen, Mikko Armila and others.

Sweden

The Market Discovery Workshop in Sweden was dedicated to the development of the country’s technology ecosystem and brought together key players to share experiences and ideas. The event programme included a series of expert presentations and interactive sessions that addressed relevant topics related to market opportunities and export services, presented by representatives of the Swedish Institute, the Swedish National Board of Trade and the Swedish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Particular attention was paid to effective and inappropriate approaches to raising finance for early-stage start-ups. Discussions with representatives of Noran Accelerator, Aiman Fund and The Sting Accelerator provided participants with valuable advice and recommendations. During the interactive Q&A session, participants actively asked questions and received answers from experts.

Benelux

The Benelux Market Discovery Workshop provided Ukrainian entrepreneurs with a detailed overview of opportunities in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Panel discussions focused on the region’s dynamic startup ecosystem and a geographical overview of market opportunities. Participants learned about government support, the regulatory environment and the investment landscape in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Among the participants were representatives from the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, SeedBlink Benelux, Startup Flanders, FLANDERS INVESTMENT & TRADE, Awex Wallonia, EuroQuity Belgium, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, and DLA Piper.

These events have become an important step in the development of international cooperation and support for startups, opening up new horizons for Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Europe.
