59 Ukrainian startups have now been awarded grant funding of €2 million from Seeds of Bravery for four different programmes: Innovative Entrepreneurship, Deep Tech Incubators, Rebuild Ukraine and DeepTech Scale-Up & Acceleration.

The international members of the Seed of Bravery consortium, from 13 different countries, have confirmed that Ukrainian startups meet the excellence standards from Horizon Europe, the world’s largest R&D programme. 

These funds will allow entrepreneurs to accelerate the implementation of their projects, attract the necessary resources and enter new markets. The investment will also help create new workplaces and increase the competitiveness of the Ukrainian startup ecosystem.

Under the Innovative Entrepreneurship programme, 21 startups receive grants of up to €25,000 to support business continuity and promote women-led companies.

List of projects that received funding:

  1. Verba – AI captions for video
  2. Scople – Device that analyzes the world around us using artificial intelligence algorithms.
  3. WedCulling – AI photo culling service for photographers and retouchers
  4. Apixmed – virtual assistant for personalized disease treatment
  5. ClinCaseQuest – a Simulation Training Platform for medical education with simulators of clinical cases (interactive patients) that help doctors and students to gain clinical experience
  6. Effy AI – manager copilot (assistant) that provide tailored tips and tricks on engaging and developing employees
  7. FluxHR – AI-Based recruiting tool for video interviews
  8. Univera – student app that simplifies interaction with the university and matches student experience with job offers
  9. Allpass.ai – fully automated KYC & AML tool for fintech SME’s
  10. Breakthrough invention in the field of aircraft propulsion – breakthrough invention in the field of aircraft propulsion
  11. OptySun – an eco-friendly, UV-based portable water purification solution that significantly reduces plastic waste and ensures access to safe drinking water
  12. Biobetter – AI-driven strategy for mind-body stress defense
  13. Harvy Market – marketplace based on geolocation with smart filters and AI for producers and buyers of farm and artisanal products
  14. Metal-hydride systems as potential hydrogen storage devices – novel and reliable hydrogen storage devices, based on technology that enables 2x hydrogen volume in the same-sized storage device.
  15. Stackoon –  IT-copilot helps SMBs cut software costs by optimizing their software subscriptions
  16. Because Talents Matter – global marketplace for talent professionals to provide them with a place for nonstop learning, networking, and professional and personal growth.
  17. LightMirror – reflective panels that bring sunlight into healthcare buildings, reducing the need for artificial lighting and heating
  18. Corner Renovation – AI-powered kitchen renovation platform that makes the renovation process frictionless by integrating design, procurement, and installation into a single product
  19. Automatic pneumatic mailer for grain products (APMgp) – manufacture and supply of complete sets of APMgp for the delivery of grain samples without loss of quality to grain laboratories of agro-industrial enterprises at a distance of 100 – 500 m
  20. Geodesic.Life – Go-to-market – prefabricated dome house product for Nordics and Central European markets soft landing
  21. JobAtlas – helps young people find their forever occupation

10 winners of the Deep Tech Incubators programme won grants of up to €25,000 for early-stage startups involved in pre-MVP activities. 

  1. AIDeX (VeraNet): Revolutionary research in AI-assisted decision-making that creates adaptive “virtual experts” for Ukrainian businesses.
  2. GreenSync.ai: An AI platform for aggregating agricultural data and generating insights.
  3. BeesAgainstMines: AI-based technologies and robotic systems for non-contact land clearing from hazardous objects.
  4. R.Flo: Affordable and reliable batteries for uninterrupted energy supply.
  5. ClinCaseQuest: Simulation training platform for medical education with interactive patients.
  6. FluxHR: An AI-based recruiting tool for video interviews.
  7. Skinner AI: Cloud-based solution for training AI models in drone, robotics, and self-driving car validation.
  8. LightMirror: Reflective panels for medical facilities, reducing the need for artificial lighting and heating.
  9. OptySun: A portable solar-powered water purification system for areas prone to natural disasters.
  10. Funely AI: An AI-powered digital marketing platform that helps SMEs manage lead generation through automation without coding.

7 Ukrainian innovators will receive grants of up to 25,000 euros under the Rebuild Ukraine programme for innovative companies that will quickly rebuild post-war Ukraine. 

  1. Univera is an app for students that simplifies interaction with the university and connects student experience with job offers.
  2. Proste ZNO is a tool that will help you get into your dream university through a simplified and personalized experience, quality materials, algorithms, and teacher expertise.
  3. Nasnaga is a closed marketplace for personal health coaches for a longer and better life.
  4. DiM – IoT platform for building infrastructure maintenance and administration.
  5. Briller.House is a distributed system for the production of prefabricated eco-friendly houses, controlled by artificial intelligence, which eliminates 90% of the human factor from the construction process.
  6. Harvy Market is a geolocation-based marketplace with smart filters and artificial intelligence for producers and buyers of farm and artisanal products.
  7. Zberydim is a constructor of a wooden house frame that can be assembled independently (without the services of professional builders) in 7 days.

As part of the DeepTech Scale-Up & Acceleration programme, 21 startups will receive grants of up to €50,000 for companies seeking to scale prototypes and expand their market reach.

  1. Beholder – revolutionary AI-assisted SaaS platform for minerals discovery and mining
  2. Haiqu   a Ukrainian deep-tech startup set to change the quantum computing ecosystem in Europe and accelerate quantum technology adoption by 2+ years.
  3. Go-to-market strategy and mass manufacturing equirements for CareTech to launch sales in the EU   a Ukrainian healthtech start-up developing AI-powered solutions for in-home remote patient monitoring with the goal of fundamentally changing the way people manage health.
  4. S.Lab sustainable packaging at industrial scale
  5. Cardio.AI AI-based platform for affordable remote medical-grade cardiac diagnostics
  6. Spendbase –  a platform for companies to optimise SaaS, Cloud and Corporate card spending.
  7. Mantis Analytics AI-driven platform that conducts info-space listening in real-time and provides organisations with reliable and actionable data for both physical and informational risk management.
  8. BigDataPeople 2 – an online service that solves a wide range of OSINT tasks based on open data and data from the public Internet.
  9. V-Art – B2B SaaS tech to automate IP licensing for brands, creators and AI tools
  10. Bluedot AI workplace assistant for tech teams
  11. FortuneGuard an AI-first brokerage revolutionising high-value insurance for enterprises and high-net-worth individuals by enhancing efficiency and accessibility.
  12. HYDRATICO – a novel versatile water treatment (desalination) method based on supercavitation
  13. GIOS an interactive AI-powered Maths platform and tutoring marketplace for К12 students and teachers.
  14. Djooky online platform for management of decentralised investments in creative industries
  15. LEZO AI-powered career platform that connects candidates and employers through skills-first approach.
  16. LeadForceTalent first AI Top and Middle Management Recruitment Platform delivering candidates 10X faster
  17. PLATMA – 24/7 extreme no-code software development platform – simple English as a code.
  18. UABoard v.1 automation of production processes of cable products (harness assembly) for cars
  19. Humesspreventive Medicine and Life Longevity DNA Testing
  20. Smart Grain Storage Solution system of control and quality assurance of storage of grain crops in granaries (grain warehouses)
  21. Pocket IPglobal trademark management service

These successes are evidence that Ukrainian business has great potential and is ready to reach even greater heights in the future.
