Paolo Lasagni

Graduated in Electronic Engineering in Bologna (1992) where I spent two years in the Department of Computer Electronics and Systems Engineering – Artificial Intelligence team, dealing with expert systems.
In 1994 I started working as a business consultant (Andersen Consulting – now Accenture and later Booz Allen Hamilton – now PWC), carrying out organizational transformation projects mainly in Europe, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
In this professional phase I have been an advisor for extraordinary transactions of important Italian financial institutions in the field of digital technologies.
In 2009, with some partners, I founded a management consultancy firm with a prevalent focus on ICT (Information & Communications Technology) strategy, processes and organization; among its clients we have leading companies in the world of telecommunications and leading publishing companies.
In 2010, I participated in the creation of KF Economics, a research and consultancy company focused on the production of rating models of which I am CEO. Our Probability of Default module is distributed in Moody’s AIDA database and used by around 100 Italian banks and companies. The capital is currently held by SevenData and Equita K Finance.
In 2015, with some partners, I established the cooperative “The Hub Reggio Emilia”, of which I am president, with the aim of creating a coworking aimed at supporting innovation initiatives in the Impact Hub network.
My passion for technological innovation has led me not only to work on startup acceleration programs through Impact Hub (various mentorship programs mainly in Italy and Spain), but also to invest in some startups (e.g. Condomani srl, Superlearn isrl, and CellDynamics isrl where I also play the role of advisor on financing research and business process strengthening activities).
Since the first years of my professional activity, I have taught university courses. Initially at the Cesena Engineering branch of UNIBO (Laboratory for IT Support of Business Processes) and, more recently, at the Department of Communication and Economics of UNIMORE (Informatics in the Marketing and Business Organization course and Database in the course Data Analysis for Business and Finance).
At the same time, I carry out courses for the Luiss Business School aimed at managers and second generations of entrepreneurs on topics related to the entrepreneurial spirit.
Lastly, I have a stable collaboration with some post-diploma/post-graduate training entities (IFOA; CIS – UNINDISTRIA Reggio Emilia, Aldini Valeriani Foundation,…) for which I mainly carry out entrepreneurship courses (Business Plan construction, courses on Lean Startup topics , Pretotyping, Agile,. Etc.), Big Data and Cybersecurity.
