Hayk Asriyants

In April 2018, Hayk transformed his digital media platform Tbilisi Startups (est. 2012), and on its basis founded Startup Büro (formerly Tbilisi Startup Bureau) which is now the key supporter of Georgia’s emerging entrepreneurship ecosystem. Startup Büro designs and implements various startup support programs — from hackathons to acceleration programs.

Before moving to Georgia, Hayk engineered and ignited the startup movement in Armenia by organizing the very first community meetups, hackathons, business model competitions and other startup programs in Yerevan, and continued leading the community by shaping the country’s entrepreneurial policies in cooperation with EBRD Business Support Office and SME Association of Armenia.

In 2021, Hayk initiated and founded Axel – Georgian Angel Investor Network to fill the funding gap and to provide mentorship, expertise and networks to early stage startups in Georgia.

In 2022, Hayk launched Founder Institute pre-seed accelerator in Georgia.

In 2025, Hayk participated in the Swedish Institute’s Impact Pioneers leadership program, focused on Climate Tech entrepreneurship.

In recognition of his leadership and impact, Hayk has received numerous awards — Global Entrepreneurship Network Award (2015), Grace Hopper Award (Individuals, organizations and initiatives that are making strides towards promoting women’s increased participation in the ICT sector, Special Mention in Supporter Category, 2022), New Europe 100 (100 changemakers in Central and Eastern Europe by Financial Times, Google, Res Publica journal, and Visegrad fund, 2016), European Union’s Eastern Partnership Civic Tech Award (2024).

In 2024, Hayk participated in the Swedish Institute’s Impact Pioneers leadership program, with focus on Climate Tech entrepreneurship.

Trained by McKinsey, Accenture, and Bain, world’s leading management consulting firms, he specializes in Customer Experience Management, a cross-functional practice aimed at meeting and exceeding customer expectations, increasing customer satisfaction, fostering customer loyalty thus contributing to sustainable business growth.

Hayk spends part of his spare time pro-bono coaching and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs. He is also a frequent speaker and facilitator at innovation and entrepreneurship events and conferences.

Since 2022, Hayk is an Invited Lecturer at Caucasus University, where he teaches Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management to MBA students.
