With a focus on deep tech innovation, the EIC has earmarked €12 million for at least 200 Ukrainian startups through the “Seeds of Bravery” initiative. In addition to equity free grants, “Seeds of Bravery” aims to attract additional investment, promote Ukrainian startups, train entrepreneurs, enter international markets, and integrate the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem into the European network.

Comprising 17 diverse organizations and 2 associated partners, from academic institutions to industry leaders, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for innovation, investment, and growth.

FundingBox Leading Orchestrators of Funding, Technology, Collaborations & Champions. It is one of Europe’s largest deep tech funding ecosystems that supports innovators across various sectors, including AI, manufacturing, robotics, IoT, EdTech, sports tech, the internet, energy, digital innovation hubs, and the circular economy. It has €85M under management, has accelerated 1,300 governmental-funded Champions and nurtures a network of 50,000 registered innovators. 

Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) is a one-of-a-kind state institution that helps innovative projects and technology startups raise funds at the early stages and launch their projects. The Fund is the driver of the startup ecosystem development, provides conditions for the growth of the sector, and represents Ukrainian innovative solutions around the world. Over 5 years, Ukrainian Startup Fund has supported over 380 startup teams with more than $8.7 million in funding.

Aalto University, founded in 2010 through the merger of Helsinki University of Technology, Helsinki School of Economics, and the University of Art and Design Helsinki, is a multidisciplinary institution located in Espoo, Finland. It is composed of 6 schools with close to 17,500 students and 4,000 staff members, making it Finland’s 2nd largest university. Aalto University excels at combining science, technology, business, and art to solve complex challenges.

Accelerace, founded in 2008, is a leading Nordic early stage VC/startup accelerator that supports emerging technologies and teams with the aim to boost their success. With a team of serial entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate innovators, Accelerace has a track record of being recognized among the world’s top accelerators. It focuses on providing pre-seed funding, engaging in partner programmes, and facilitating corporate matches.

CorkBIC is at the forefront of driving innovation and fostering the growth of startups in Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick for over 30 years. It identifies innovative entrepreneurs, providing support and essential business expertise. CorkBIC is part of a network of 200+ BICs throughout Europe. Together, it collaborates to make startups ready for investment and growth, unlocking opportunities within our extensive network of partners, fellow entrepreneurs and investors. 

Da Vinci Labs (DVL) is an accelerator and a multidisciplinary research center that tackles pressing societal challenges through deep tech innovations. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, DVL promotes the development of sustainable technologies through research in artificial intelligence, synthetic biology, and quantum computing. DVL balances technological innovation and sustainable development by hosting cross-disciplinary teams working on environmental challenges.

EIT Health, established in 2015 as part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), aims to foster innovation in health and aging. It operates based on the ‘knowledge triangle’ principle, encouraging collaboration between business, research, and education sectors to create an optimal environment for innovation. EIT Health’s extensive network includes around 120 partner organizations and thousands of startups and entrepreneurs across Europe to address significant health challenges.

Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE) is a leading international centre for entrepreneurship education and research. Located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, ECE empowers aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs through knowledge, networks and access to resources, enabling them to achieve their entrepreneurial ambitions. ECE offers a range of programs, events, and support services that cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets and foster entrepreneurial behaviour. It actively shapes the future of entrepreneurship and drives positive economic and social change.

Impact Hub Stockholm is part of a leading global network of entrepreneurial communities, capacity building programs and collaborative spaces, that support impact-driven entrepreneurs and innovators on their journey from idea to scale. It aims to solve the world’s major challenges through trust, courage and collaboration. Part innovation lab, part business incubator, and part community centre, it offers its members a unique ecosystem of resources, inspiration and opportunities.

Innov8 is a centre of innovation and entrepreneurship, founded to develop the technological ecosystem in Ukraine. The centre helps potential and existing entrepreneurs create and scale startups and technology businesses. During its existence, the Innov8 center supported the development of 210+ startups, projects and entrepreneurs in the field of innovation and technology, AI, Agri Food, Healh Tech, Med Tech on program, and attracted 100+ pro bono mentors and market experts.

Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine focuses on basic and applied research in physics. It aims to contribute to scientific, technological, socio-economic, and intellectual advancements. Established in 1929, the institute has been pivotal in developing new scientific knowledge in various physics domains. For many decades, the Institute has had close business relations with leading universities in Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine.

Luxinnovation is Luxembourg’s national innovation agency, focusing on empowering companies to innovate and contribute to the economy’s development by identifying innovation opportunities and fostering collaborative projects. Luxinnovation acts as a key partner for innovative activities, offering an extensive range of services to companies of any size and facilitating major cooperation projects to stimulate the development of a sustainable, competitive, and digital economy.

Plug and Play Tech Center is the leading innovation platform, connecting startups, corporations, venture capital firms, universities, and government agencies. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, it is present in 50+ locations across 5 continents. It offers corporate innovation programs and helps corporate partners in every stage of their innovation journey, from education to execution, as well as organizes startup acceleration programs and has built an in-house VC.

Sunrise Valley Science and Technology Park (Sunrise Tech Park), established in 2003, is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Vilnius (Lithuania). It provides infrastructure and support services for young enterprises and knowledge-intensive businesses. The park promotes business and science collaboration, offering a vibrant community for tech enterprises, university members, and R&D to commercialize knowledge and develop businesses.

Techosystem, founded in 2022, is a civic union of the tech ecosystem players in Ukraine, focusing on product companies. The NGO aims to unite all market players to create more favorable business conditions in Ukraine, promote the tech ecosystem and showcase its potential globally. It operates across: Education and standardization, Product companies, Service companies, Venture investments, Cooperation with the state, International relations, and Data and research.

Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration is focused to assist prominent founders to build systematic and responsible business, not only to get the next investment round signed.

It does this through several intensive programmes, where mentors and coaches are representatives of the key ministries and governmental companies, top managers of Ukrainian and international businesses, and also successful startup founders.

YEP is an ecosystem of innovative entrepreneurship, offering incubation and acceleration programmes, mentoring, and grants for early-stage startups.

Since its inception in 2016, YEP has incubated over 600 startups and developed entrepreneurship education at 120 universities nationwide, impacting over 3,000 students each semester. Its mission is to empower Ukrainian youth through entrepreneurship.
